River Plate and Olympiacos have entered transfer talks over midfielder Francisco Ortega but remain far from an agreement, according to Argentine media reports.
Journalist Sebastian Srour told Radio Splendid that River Plate has offered 3 million euros while Olympiacos is asking for 5.2 million, a gap he said means a deal will not be concluded soon.
The Argentine newspaper Ole reported different figures, stating that Olympiacos had lowered its asking price from 7 million to 6 million euros, while River Plate’s offer is not expected to exceed 5 million euros.
Earlier reports had suggested the difference between the clubs stood at around 1 million euros, but Argentine sources indicate the gap is larger than that.
