Team Europe will look to regain the Solheim Cup from Team USA at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands from September 11-13, with captain Anna Nordqvist naming a 12-player squad that mixes experience with new talent.
Nordqvist's team includes eight players with previous Solheim Cup experience, alongside four rookies, including world No 5 Lottie Woad. The qualification campaign ended after the AIG Women's Open on August 2, when Esther Henseleit's runner-up finish secured her a place alongside Charley Hull on the LET Solheim Cup points list.
Woad, Maja Stark, Linn Grant, Celine Boutier, Carlota Ciganda and Nanna Koerstz Madsen claimed the next six automatic spots via the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings. Nordqvist then announced her four captain's picks a day later: Leona Maguire, Julia López Ramirez, Nastasia Nadaud and Mimi Rhodes, who will face Angela Stanford's Team USA.
LET Solheim Cup points list qualifiers
Charley Hull, 30, is playing in her seventh Solheim Cup, having appeared in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024. She has won 16.5 points from 27 matches, with 15 wins, three ties and nine losses. Hull won twice during qualifying, including the PIF Saudi Ladies International in February, and finished tied-second at the US Women's Open and tied-sixth at the AIG Women's Open. She was Europe's top scorer in the 2024 defeat, including a 6&4 win over Nelly Korda.
Esther Henseleit, 27, qualified for a second Solheim Cup after finishing fourth at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open and forcing a play-off with a final-hole birdie at the AIG Women's Open. She has 1.5 points from three matches, having tied with Andrea Lee in the 2024 singles after partnering Hull to one win and one loss in the foursomes.
Rolex Rankings qualifiers
Lottie Woad, 22, is the highest-ranked European in the world rankings and will make her Solheim Cup debut. The Englishwoman has won two LPGA Tour titles in her first year as a professional, at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open last July and the Kroger Queen City Championship in May. She lost a play-off to Miyu Yamashita at the Meijer LPGA Classic and posted a third straight top-10 finish at a major at the AIG Women's Open.
Maja Stark, 26, returns for a third Solheim Cup after winning the 2025 US Women's Open. The Swede has four points from eight matches, having beaten then-US Women's Open champion Allisen Corpuz in the singles on her 2023 debut and played three sessions alongside Emily Kristine Pedersen in 2024.
Celine Boutier, 32, is playing in her fifth Solheim Cup with 7.5 points from 14 matches. The Frenchwoman won the Shoprite LPGA Classic by one shot in May and shared 12th place at the AIG Women's Open. She won all four matches with Georgia Hall on her 2019 debut but lost all three matches in 2023 before winning two points in 2024.
Carlota Ciganda, 36, has been ever-present for Europe since her 2013 debut and has 14 points from 27 matches. The Spaniard has missed the cut in her last four majors but beat Nelly Korda in the 2023 singles as part of a perfect four-from-four record that helped Europe retain the trophy.
Linn Grant, 27, returns for a third straight Solheim Cup despite a difficult season affected by form and fitness, having missed the cut in the first three majors. The Swede has three points from nine matches, having gone unbeaten in the fourballs with Ciganda and led Europe out in the 2023 singles, before going winless from four matches in 2024.
Nanna Koerstz Madsen, 31, returns after a five-year absence, taking the final automatic spot once Henseleit's qualification freed up a place on the rankings list. The Dane has 1.5 points from three matches, including a final-hole fourball win alongside Ciganda in 2021 and a tie with Austin Ernst in that year's singles as Europe won away from home.
Captain's picks
Leona Maguire, 31, of Ireland earns a fourth consecutive Solheim Cup appearance as a captain's pick after an inconsistent season that included a runner-up finish at the Aramco Championship in April and a tied-eighth at last month's ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open. She has 8.5 points from 12 matches, having gone unbeaten as a rookie in 2021 and played every session in 2023, though she featured in just two sessions during the 2024 defeat.
Julia López Ramirez, 23, of Spain will make her debut after a successful rookie season on the LPGA Tour and securing her Ladies European Tour status at Q-school. The former amateur world No 1 has five top-25 finishes on the LPGA Tour in 2026, including at the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open, and confirmed her selection by making the cut at the AIG Women's Open.
Nastasia Nadaud, 21, of France will also debut having won the LET's season-ending Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana in November after two runner-up finishes earlier that campaign. Nordqvist said Nadaud had been getting better and better. She made the cut in all five majors this season and remains in contention to qualify for the LPGA Tour's CME Group Tour Championship.
Mimi Rhodes, 24, of England completes the squad. She won the LET's Rookie of the Year title last season after victories at the Ford Women's New South Wales Open, the Joburg Ladies Open and the Dutch Ladies Open, and was Nordqvist's final pick following a mixed debut season on the LPGA Tour.
