Team USA will attempt to retain the Solheim Cup and end an 11-year wait for an away victory over Team Europe when Angela Stanford's squad tees off at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands from September 11-13, live on Sky Sports.
Stanford has named just two rookies in her 12-player line-up. The other ten players have each appeared in at least one previous Solheim Cup, and eight of them return from the 15.5-12.5 win over Team Europe on home soil in Virginia two years ago.
Four-time major winner Nelly Korda is the headline name and topped the two-year qualification campaign, which ran from the 2024 FM Championship through to the 2026 CPKC Women's Open last month.
Nelly Korda leads the way
Korda, 28 and the world No 1, wrapped up a fifth consecutive Solheim Cup appearance months early after winning four times in the first half of the year. She has scored at least two points in each of her four previous appearances, including an unbeaten debut at Gleneagles in 2019, and holds 10.5 points from 16 matches overall. In 2024 she took three points before losing to Charley Hull in the singles.
How the automatic qualifiers got in
The top seven players on the Solheim Cup points list earned automatic places: Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, Auston Kim, Lauren Coughlin and Allisen Corpuz.
Yin, 27, qualified via the points list for the first time despite missing the final two months of the campaign through illness. She was part of the joint-biggest fourballs win in Solheim Cup history, beating Anna Nordqvist and Caroline Hedwall 7&5 alongside Ally Ewing in 2019, and remains unbeaten in singles against Team Europe.
Kupcho, 29, was joint-top scorer on her 2021 debut and beat Linn Grant on the final day of the 2024 win. She claimed the Shoprite LPGA Classic last June and added three top-10 major finishes this season, securing a fourth straight appearance.
Noh, 25, returns after a five-year absence for her first Solheim Cup on European soil, having beaten Mel Reid in singles during the 2021 defeat. She won the 2025 Founders Cup and finished third at the AIG Women's Open during qualifying.
Kim, 26, will make her debut having followed a runner-up finish at last year's KPMG Women's PGA Championship with second place at the HSBC Women's World Championship, then two more top-10 major finishes to seal her spot.
Coughlin, 33, was undefeated on her 2024 debut, winning both foursomes matches and a fourballs contest with Sarah Schmelzel before tying her singles match with Maja Stark. The three-time LPGA Tour winner also took the Aramco Championship in April.
Corpuz, 28, qualified via points for a third straight Solheim Cup after six top-10 finishes on the LPGA Tour this season. She and Korda have won all four of their foursomes matches together over the last two editions, the joint-best foursomes record of any American pairing in history.
Qualifying through the world rankings
Andrea Lee, 28, and Alison Lee, 31, took the two automatic places reserved for the next-highest players in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
Andrea Lee has posted 18 top-25 finishes and led the LPGA Tour in fairways in regulation over the past two seasons. She won her matches 5&4 and 6&4 alongside Rose Zhang in 2024 and is unbeaten in two Solheim Cup singles matches, both ties.
Alison Lee is the only player in Stanford's squad to have won on European soil in 2015, and this marks her first appearance since becoming a mother last April, making her the first mum to play for Team USA since Cristie Kerr in 2017. She missed most of qualifying on maternity leave but still posted three top-five finishes, including at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
Captain's picks
Stanford used her three captain's picks on Lindy Duncan, Megan Khang and Rose Zhang.
Duncan, 35, held the second automatic ranking spot for nearly two months before slipping out late in the campaign. She becomes the oldest debutant since Nancy Scranton in 2000, despite missing the cut in four of this season's five majors.
Khang, 28, returns for a fifth straight appearance having gone unbeaten in the last two editions, including winning all three matches in 2024 after top-scoring for the team in 2023.
Zhang, 23, top-scored for Team USA in 2024, winning all four of her matches by at least two holes. The two-time LPGA Tour winner has posted top-eight finishes in her last two starts, returning her to the world's top 50.
Team USA will be aiming to defend the trophy against Team Europe, with all three days of the Solheim Cup broadcast live on Sky Sports Golf from September 11-13.
