Lokomotiv-Kuban’s advantages over UNICS in the VTB United League semi-final series are team play and squad depth, according to Krasnodar guard Vladislav Yemchenko.
The best-of-seven semi-final series between Lokomotiv and UNICS begins on May 6 in Kazan.
“We are preparing for UNICS and we train every day. Everything is going well. We have already played UNICS four times this season and we know their players and their strengths well. So there is nothing new. We are preparing as planned.

“I think it is our squad depth. Every player who takes the floor, whether in the starting five or off the bench, is ready to contribute on both ends. Our other advantage is team play. When we are in the zone, we cannot be stopped. UNICS’s key players are all strong in their own right. Each has his own strengths and weaknesses. Overall, they have both Russian players and foreign players with extensive experience. In any case, they are the reigning VTB United League champions and winners of the regular season.
