White stated that he would not think about Makhachev's standing until the fighter's match against Irish contender Ian Garry takes place. He said to see how the Sunday battle turns out, encouraging Makhachev to keep working hard, keep fighting, stay humble, and continue knocking out opponents.

White added that defining Makhachev's place in combat sports history must wait until after the fighter concludes his career.

UFC 330 title fight

Makhachev was previously named the favorite in his upcoming title bout against Garry. Fight experts believe Makhachev will win the match on points.

Makhachev currently holds a career record of 28 wins and one defeat. Garry enters the matchup with a record of 17 victories and one loss.

The two fighters will compete against each other on August 16 as part of the UFC 330 tournament in Philadelphia, United States. The bout is scheduled to begin at around 6:00 a.m. Moscow time.
