Juraj Sanitra will continue to work with men
The president Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Ivan Krulko announced changes in the women’s team of the country. According to him, the team will be presented with a new coaching staff.
Krulko did not specify whether head coach Oleksandr Kravchenko would remain in office. In turn, Juraj Sanitra will continue to work with the men’s team.
“Yes, we will have changes. If we are talking about the men’s team, then Juraj Sanitra will continue to work. We trust him in the methodology that he uses. Many young athletes have clearly grown up – this is important.”
“As for the women’s team, we will have a new coaching staff. But we will announce the last names after the meeting of the coaching council and the presidium of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine, which must approve these decisions. It would be incorrect to announce before that, but in the women’s team it is planned to rejuvenate in terms of composition and there will be changes in coaches. These will be local specialists. The FBU Presidium is to be held in the first half of April.”
Ukraine for the first time in history finished the season without awards at the World Cup. At the same time, the men’s and women’s teams entered the top 10 of the Nations Cup standings, which allowed Ukraine to maintain a quota of five athletes for individual races for the next season.
