The 15th round derby between Botafogo and Fluminense in the Brasileirão Feminino A1 was postponed on Friday because of strong winds in Rio de Janeiro. The match was originally scheduled for Friday, August 7, at 9:30 p.m. at Botafogo's home ground, Estádio Nilton Santos. It will now take place at the same venue on Monday, August 10, at 6 p.m. Brasília time.
Both Rio de Janeiro clubs enter the match in contrasting positions. Bottom of the league standings, Botafogo, also known as the Gloriosas, face pressure to secure vital points to avoid relegation. Fluminense, known as the tricolores, are playing to earn a spot in the knockout stage of the championship.
Deborah Cecilia Cruz Correira will referee the match, assisted by Karolaynne da Conceição Martins Garcia and Nayra da Cunha Nunes. The game will be broadcast live on pay TV on SporTV.
