The American Professional Fighters League (PFL) promotion has banned Russian fighters from competing under their country’s flag. The flags have also been removed from athlete profiles on the PFL website.

At the last tournament, Russian fighters Omari Akhmedov and Magomed Magomedkerimov were represented by natives of Dagestan, who train in the United States.
