LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau has been spotted in public for the first time with former Canadian hockey goalkeeper Mikayla Demaiter in Indianapolis.
The pair were filmed leaving the course together on a golf cart at The Club at Chatham Hills after DeChambeau completed the final round of the LIV Golf season on Sunday.
DeChambeau, 32, waved to spectators and signed autographs before climbing onto the back of the vehicle with Demaiter. He placed his hand on her thigh as the golf cart drove away.
The public appearance comes after a source told US Weekly last week that the golfer and the model are dating and are very happy. Neither DeChambeau nor Demaiter has publicly discussed their relationship.
Rumors that the pair were dating first emerged earlier this month when Demaiter shared posts from the LIV Golf tournament held at Trump National Bedminster in New York.
Demaiter later shared two pictures that appeared to be taken from inside DeChambeau's closet.
Social media presence and past relationships
Demaiter previously played as a goalkeeper in Canada's Provincial Women's Hockey League Junior League. She retired from hockey at age 19 following an injury and transitioned into modeling and social media, building an Instagram following of more than three million.
DeChambeau is a two-time U.S. Open champion who has also established a massive online presence. He commands 4.6 million followers on Instagram and runs a YouTube channel with 2.83 million subscribers.
The golfer previously dated former University of Texas at San Antonio golfer Hunter Nugent, with their split reported in September 2022. He was also briefly linked with golf influencer Lilia Schneider last year.
DeChambeau addressed his relationship status during a podcast appearance last year when asked directly if he had a girlfriend.
"Uh no. I'm keeping that open," DeChambeau said on the podcast. "It's weird because I've started, I don't know how to say this, it's very dynamic, let's say that as of right now. And I'm just trying to keep it simple and this time goes on I eventually want to find the right person. I'm trying to find the right person right now, and I feel like there is somebody that I am talking to that's different and unique and you know, there's something there."
LIV Golf season finish and future
DeChambeau finished the final event of the season in third place in Indianapolis, which marked the final tournament for this iteration of LIV Golf.
LIV Golf is preparing to enter a new revamped era backed by new investment after losing Saudi funding. Players are set to receive equity in the new entity, and DeChambeau has been widely expected to remain with the league.
However, DeChambeau sparked speculation about his future following the final event by sharing a series of photos of his wins over the past four years with the caption: "It was a good run."
