Endrick May Leave Real Madrid on Loan Again

Real Madrid striker Endrick may go on loan again as Jose Mourinho trims his squad and the Brazilian seeks more minutes.

Endrick May Leave Real Madrid on Loan Again

Real Madrid striker Endrick could be loaned out again to another European club as he seeks more playing time, with the Spanish giants not expected to block a move.

According to the Spanish outlet As, coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed he wants to work with a leaner squad and has reportedly left the final decision on Endrick's future to the Brazilian forward himself. The recent signing of Spanish forward Carlos Espi makes it even harder for Endrick to stay.

Similar case with Gonzalo Garcia

A similar situation played out with another young Real Madrid talent, 22-year-old forward Gonzalo Garcia. Although Mourinho wanted Garcia to stay, he had signaled the player was unlikely to be a starter this season. Premier League club Fulham ended up paying 40 million euros, about 235 million reais, to sign him.

Other possible departures

Endrick is not the only player who could leave Real Madrid this transfer window. French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga clashed with the previous coaching staff and club management late last season, and a string of injuries along with an inconsistent season have complicated his future at the club.

Young defender Raul Asencio is also not part of Mourinho's plans. He lost playing time last season, and with the arrival of Ibrahima Konate, his opportunities are expected to shrink further. Several clubs have already shown interest in signing him.

Despite the speculation, Endrick has been given chances during preseason, starting matches against Ferencvaros and Fiorentina. He scored a goal in the match against the Italian side, showing his potential.
