Charl Schwartzel had his golf ball eaten by a fish during the final round of LIV Golf Bedminster, leaving the South African with a one-stroke penalty.
Playing at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the 41-year-old was driving at the par-three 17th hole when his ball spun down from the green and along a water hazard. Before the ball came to a complete stop at the water's edge, a fish surfaced and swallowed it. The ball and fish disappeared within an instant as the water surface settled.
One commenter said they had never seen anything like it.
Schwartzel was given a one-shot penalty for the lost ball and finished the 134-yard hole with a bogey.

The 2011 Masters winner finished tied for 22nd at +2 for the tournament, which was won by Joaquin Niemann at -16.
Trump's own round at Bedminster
President Donald Trump attended the final day of the event at Bedminster. A week earlier, the 80-year-old had carded a score of 70 to claim another club championship at the course, where par is set at 72.
Trump shared footage of the moment on social media, writing, "The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated."
He added, "I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I'm given very little time to practice, because I'm focused on many other things. It's called TALENT, and I have it, and they don't!"
The reported 70 came a year after the White House published a scorecard claiming Trump had carded a 3-under 69 at the same annual tournament in 2025, winning by 10 gross strokes.
