Chinese police warn against scammers who promise to meet Lionel Messi for an additional cost.
The Argentinian striker is in this Asian country within the national team, which must play a friendly match with Australia on June 15 in Beijing.
A widely circulated ad on social media promises Chinese people a night out in Messi’s campaign for 300,000 yuan ($42,000).
“If you can get scammed out of 300,000 yuan, we will remember you at our table,” the Beijing Public Security Bureau joked on a social network.
Earlier, Messi announced his decision to leave PSG and pursue his career at American club Inter Miami.
