Dani Alves: ‘My innocence will be proven’

The 39-year-old footballer is in police custody for raping a girl at a Barcelona nightclub. He faces up to 12 years in prison. Earlier, Alves again lost his appeal for a temporary release from prison.

Mexican club Pumas, for which the Brazilian recently played, has terminated his contract. Alves’ wife, Joana Sanz, filed for divorce in January.
