Athletistic/Football. Turkish club Fenerbahce are planning to acquire two defensive midfielders from the Russian Premier League in the current summer transfer window, according to journalist Yaciz Sabonçoglu.
According to him, the Istanbul club showed interest in buying Alexander Chernikov from Krasnodar and also considered Lokomotiv’s Dmitry Barinov as an alternative. However, the management of Fenerbahce decided to block the possible transfers of these Russian players.
Portal Transfermarkt estimate the cost of 23-year-old Chernikov at €2.5m and 26-year-old Barinov at €8m.
