Athletistic / Football. Krasnodar head coach Vladimir Ivich shared details about working with club owner Sergei Galitsky.
“Galitsky’s obsession with attacking football is his philosophy. He is the owner of the club, he created it from scratch, invests his money in it. Therefore, he has the unlimited right to ask me questions at least every day, which I will be obliged to respond. And Galitsky knows this personally, because my first words to him were: “I am at your disposal at any time.” This is part of my job.
Galitsky and I often talk separately about the players, the team and the opponents. He comes to training. It is important that the players see that the owner is next to them,” Ivic said as quoted by “Championship”.
Vladimir Ivitch took over as manager of Krasnodar in January 2023. Last season, he led the Bulls to the Russian Cup final, where they lost to CSKA on penalties. The 46-year-old Serbian’s contract with the Russian club runs until December 31, 2024.
Krasnodar have scored 38 points in 18 matches this season and are leaders of the Russian championship. The Bulls are two points ahead of the current national champion, Zenit St. Petersburg.
