São Paulo and Palmeiras made the final of Paulistão this Wednesday, 30, and VAR stole the show in the decision between the two rivals at Morumbi stadium
Sao Paulo and palm trees faced each other this Wednesday, 30, for the final of Paulistão, and VAR was the main protagonist of the match. In the first leg of the most disputed state final in Brazil, the video referee ended up being decisive at the Morumbi stadium and contributing to Tricolor’s victory 3-1 in a penalty kick taken by Calleri.
The shirt 9 beat the penalty with a lot of category, took Weverton out of the play, and made it 1 to 0 in the first half, practically in the last bid of the initial stage. But the controversy was not the strike of the Argentine, but the way in which the penalty was given. In an unpretentious cross from the left, the ball hit Marcos Rocha’s hand and VAR went into action in the derby.
CHANNEL – ATHLETISTIC:
The video referee called the game referee and he went to the booth to check the play. On the occasion, reviewing the images, the main referee of the confrontation between Palmeiras and São Paulo decided to mark the penalty for the Tricolor. The bid generated a great deal of conflict and discussion between players and on the internet it was no different.
With the penalty converted and the goal by Calleri, São Paulo had the advantage for the game next Sunday, 3, at Allianz Parque, at 16:00 (Brasília time). To remove the adverse score, Verdão will need to score two goals to take the penalties or three to win the title in regulation time.

They ended the game.
How absurd.
VAR in Brazil invents what does not exist.
The tool that is to help only enters to appear…

Well, VAR saw a penalty, but didn’t see the unique invasion of the area? @FPF_Oficial you are garbage! pic.twitter.com/8ibsVKlZ1S

This penalty is a sample of how VAR should NOT be used. Rocha practically hugs his own body. VAR looked for a hand touch in a play in which the ball did not go to the goal and the Palmeiras player turned his back to the play, shrinking.

VAR in Brazil is just that, bug.
Joke.

VAR, through José Claudio Rocha Filho, calls referee Douglas Marques das Flores to mark this penalty by Marcos Rocha. The arm glued to the body.
UNBELIEVABLE! #trOurLecture pic.twitter.com/vaqGJXseiw

The var analyze the bid with time, tranquility and call the referee to see a bid like that that was NOT marked on the field, it’s bitching
Pathetic. I don’t even blame the judge, but the one who called pic.twitter.com/Ow9UhsRQCu

That was one of the most absurd penalties I’ve ever seen in my life. And they even called VAR for it lol
