The 36-year-old Brazilian became Roman Yaremchuk’s teammate
Olympiakos announced the transfer of the ex-winger Shakhtar Willian.
The term of the agreement between the parties was not disclosed.
Willian’s last club was Fulham. In the past 2023/24 season, the Brazilian played 37 matches for the Dachniki, scored five goals and gave two assists. In the summer of 2024, the winger left the club when his contract expired.
Let us recall that Willian played for Shakhtar Donetsk from 2007 to 2012. The Brazilian won the 2009 UEFA Cup, four Ukrainian championships, and won the Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup three times as part of the Miners. In total, Willian played 221 matches for Shakhtar, scored 37 goals and made 63 assists.
From 2013 to 2020, the Brazilian defended the colors of Chelsea. Willian won the Premier League twice as part of the team, and also became the owner of the Europa League.
Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk has been playing for Olympiacos since this season. He has already managed to score his debut goal for his new club in the second round match of the Greek Super League against Athens Kallithea (2:1).
Olympiacos started the Greek Super League with three wins and is first in the league according to additional indicators, ahead of PAOK.
