Negotiations are at the final stage
Barcelona is approaching contract extensions with two young midfielders – Gavi And Pedri.
The parties are at the final stage. Both players will be the next officials to renew their agreement with the Blaugranas.
Gavi quickly broke into the Barcelona first team in 2021, at the age of 17. In 2022, as a member of the Spanish national team, he went as a main player to the World Cup in Qatar, and before that he became the youngest debutant in the history of the national team.
Catalan sporting director Deco held a personal meeting with Pedri’s agents, at which the details of the future agreement were discussed. Pedri himself broke into Barcelona’s first team squad at the age of 17 in the summer of 2020, when he was acquired from Las Palmas for €17.5 million.
Pedri has played 18 matches for Barcelona this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Gavi, who recovered from a serious cruciate knee ligament injury, appeared on the field in seven games.
Hans-Dieter Flick’s team leads the La Liga standings. Today, November 26, Barcelona will play against Brest.
