Next year, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will become teammates at Ferrari. Lately you see them chatting more and more often in the paddock and before the pilots’ parade. Charles explained what exactly they discuss with the seven-time world champion.
Charles Leclerc: “He and I talk about a lot. Of course we discuss a bit about how things are going at Ferrari and what positions we are in now, but this is a small part of our discussions. Lewis is now 100% focused on his work at Mercedes, so there are many things we cannot discuss yet.
But in preparation for next year we talk a lot about our passions: design and fashion in general. Of all our conversations, about 80% or 90% are personal questions about life, about music and stuff like that, which is nice.
I’m looking forward to working with Lewis as he is the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. For me, working with him in the same team is first and foremost the opportunity to learn from the best, which gives me great motivation. to show what I can do. I am therefore enthusiastic about the challenge that lies ahead.
We already have an excellent relationship with him. I have great respect for Lewis and his achievements. Playing with him in the same team will be an important milestone in my career. At the same time, he and I will work together to bring Ferrari back to the top.”
