The RB team is optimistic about the results of Friday’s practice in Singapore. Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo completed the second part of free practice in the top six and expect to fight for high positions in qualifying.
Yuki Tsunoda (4th): “Overall a positive day, so I am happy. Of course this is just a training, and I have no doubt that our opponents will improve tomorrow, but at the same time we can achieve greater speed, so we must remain at the forefront of the fight.
I’m looking forward to qualifying more than usual. We have a chance to have a good session.”
Daniel Ricciardo (6th): “Really good day for the whole team. Yuki and I finished both practices in the top seven. The gaps are minimal: four of them finished within two hundredths of a second.
I am happy with the car, although there is always room for small adjustments to the settings. But it is good that today we are in positions where we can earn a lot of points. On this circuit the car is fast and looks competitive.
Today I had a lot of grip and it was fun to drive. I hope our pace in qualifying continues.”
