Ovechkin and Kuznetsov helped Washington beat Minnesota in NHL game

Aides to Washington’s Russian attackers Alexandra Ovechkina And Evgenia Kuznetsova allowed the club from the American capital to win against Minnesota in the NHL match.

Washington defeated Minnesota in a shootout at home in the NHL regular season game. After three periods and overtime, the score was tied at 2:2.

The decisive shootout was scored by John Carlson, who converted the hosts’ 7th try. Washington goalie Darcy Kuemper didn’t miss a shot in the shootout.

Ovechkin scored an assist. In the second period, Ovechkin scored a goal that was not counted due to offside. In the shootout, Ovechkin and Kuznetsov did not convert their attempts. Evgeny Kuznetsov scored an assist.

Minnesota’s Russian forward Kirill Kaprizov also failed to convert his attempt in the shootout.

Ovechkin, who turned 38 in September, has scored 824 career NHL goals in the regular season. The Russian ranks second on the list of best snipers in league history, behind Wayne Gretzky’s 70 goals (894).
