Ubisoft has enlisted six League Two footballers to launch its new video game Tom Clancy's The Division 2, skipping the Premier League and European stars that companies usually turn to.
The players involved are Matt Taylor of Swindon Town, Kieran O'Hara of Macclesfield Town, Callum Brittain and Robbie Simpson of MK Dons, George Ray of Crewe Alexandra, and Omar Sowunmi of Yeovil Town.
Swindon Town midfielder Matt Taylor said each division is different, but true passion for the game remains the one constant. He said it was great to see Ubisoft recognise that by signing the players up for The Division 2.
Taylor said they were thrilled to be joining the private beta, playing to launch and beyond, and that he looked forward to seeing Division 2 fans in the Dark Zone.
Private beta and release date
The six League Two players will also encourage their team-mates to sign up for the private beta, which runs between Friday and the following Monday.
The Division 2 will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC from March 15.
