Legia Warsaw conceded a 95th-minute equaliser to draw 1-1 away to Piast Gliwice in the fifth round of the Polish Ekstraklasa on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a 10-man Widzew Lodz played out a 3-3 draw against Slask Wroclaw in the final match of the day's fixtures.
Legia, a historically dominant force in Polish football, led for much of their match before being punished late on. Writing for Sport.pl, Bartosz Krolikowski said Legia paid the price for a minimalist approach and conceded the equaliser after a stroke of bad luck involving one of their players.
Krolikowski also reported that medical staff achieved a great victory off the pitch, successfully resuscitating a fan who collapsed in the stands during the second half following an intervention that lasted nearly an hour.
Six-goal thriller in Wroclaw
In Saturday's other match, Slask Wroclaw hosted Widzew Lodz in a game that started perfectly for the home side when Przemyslaw Wisniewski was sent off in the seventh minute.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, the visiting side took a two-goal lead in the first half. Mario Garcia opened the scoring for Widzew in the 15th minute, and Francisco Alvarez doubled the advantage in the 36th minute after an assist from Karol Swiderski.
Slask Wroclaw fought back in the second half, reducing the deficit in the 47th minute when Steve Kapuadi scored an own goal.
Widzew restored their two-goal cushion in the 63rd minute through Angel Baena Perez to make it 3-1.
However, the hosts responded again, with Przemyslaw Banaszak scoring in the 78th minute before Eniss Shabani found the 89th-minute equaliser to secure a 3-3 draw.
The result moved Widzew Lodz up from ninth to sixth in the Ekstraklasa table, Poland's premier football division, with six points. Slask Wroclaw climbed to 11th place on five points.
