Former head coach of the Russian national mountain bike team Vyacheslav Ustinovich has died at the age of 70, reports the press service of the Russian Cycling Federation.
Ustinovich died on Tuesday, April 4. The specialist participated in the training of two-time world champion Svetlana Samokhvalova, world champion Oleg Galkin, winners of the European championships Oleg Zhukov and Andrey Minashkin.
“The Russian Cycling Federation expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of Vyacheslav Georgievich,” the message read.
Ustinovich also led the Russian team in the sport of the blind (tandem cycling).
