Athletistic/Others. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has partially upheld the appeal of the Russian Table Tennis Federation (FNTR) against the suspension of athletes and other measures introduced by the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU). This was reported by the press service of the law firm Sila Avocats, which represented the interests of the FNTR.

CAS overturned the ETTU’s decision to exclude Russian athletes and officials from competitions under the auspices of the organization and declared the suspension of Russian table tennis clubs for the 2021/22 season illegal.

However, the CAS upheld the decision to ban the use of the Russian national flag, symbols and anthem.
