French swimmer Anastasia Kirpichnikova, who previously represented the Russian national team, failed to reach the final of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in the 400-meter freestyle.
Kirpichnikova finished seventh in the second preliminary round, with a result of 4 minutes 10.32 seconds. After three rounds, the 24-year-old athlete took 15th place and did not advance to the final.
The best time in qualifying was set by American Katie Ledecky – 4:02.19.
Kirpichnikova will also compete in the 800 and 1,500m freestyle at the Olympics in the French capital.
