Michel’s team celebrated their first victory of the 2024/25 season
The third round match of the Spanish La Liga — Girona destroyed the house Osasuna (4:0).
The scoring was opened in the 34th minute – Viktor Tsygankov made a great pass into the penalty area from the right flank, and Girona’s summer newcomer Bryan Gil sent the ball into the net of the Pamplona team.
In the 53rd minute, Tsygankov himself scored his debut goal of the season – after a cross from the left flank and a rebound from a defender, the ball went to Victor, who calmly sent it into the goal from the goal line. The third goal was soon scored by another summer newcomer to Girona – forward Abel Ruiz.
The final goal in the match was scored in the 90th minute by the legendary 37-year-old Uruguayan forward for Girona, Cristian Stuani, who is starting his eighth season at the club.
Girona have four points from three matches. Michel’s men will play their next match away to Sevilla on September 1. Osasuna will host Celta in the next round on the same day.
