Yurich: I’m not thinking about quitting, I’m just doing my job

Roma’s Croatian coach could be sacked if he loses to Torino in today’s match

Head coach Roma Ivan Yurich does not think about his possible resignation, which, according to Italian media, could happen following the results of the upcoming match between the Romans and Torino.

“From my point of view, there was an emotional collapse. I don’t think about quitting, I just do my job. What happens, happens. I have contact with the president. We talked about a lot of things, and this is all that distracts us from thinking on the field.”

Juric took charge of Roma in mid-September, replacing Daniele De Rossi after Wolves’ poor start to the season. The Croatian specialist signed a contract until the summer of 2025. Earlier it was reported that the Wolves management approached De Rossi with a proposal to return to the post of mentor and is waiting for a response from him.

Under the leadership of Ivan Juric, Roma played 8 matches in all tournaments – in them they won 3, drew 2 and suffered 3 defeats. In the last round of Serie A, the Romans were defeated by Fiorentina (1:5).

Roma has a three-match winless streak in the championship and is in 12th place (already with a negative goal difference). The team of Ukrainian Artem Dovbik will play the match with Torino in the next round of Serie A today, October 31.
