The PGA Tour has confirmed its 36-tournament schedule for the 2027 FedExCup season, starting at The American Express in La Quinta, California, on January 21.
The circuit runs from January to August before moving to a two-tiered model in 2028. The 2027 campaign features eight Signature Events and finishes at the Tour Championship from August 26 to 29 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
The only new addition to the schedule is the Sompo Championship, which takes place from July 29 to August 1 at Silverado Resort's North Course in Napa, California. Positioned as the penultimate event of the regular season, it precedes the rebranded GO by Raymond James, formerly the Wyndham Championship, held from August 5 to 8 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
A realignment of the Florida Swing brings the Cadillac Championship to Trump National Doral's Blue Monster course in Miami, Florida, from March 4 to 7. The event will take place the week prior to The Players, which runs from March 11 to 14 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Consequently, the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida, shifts to March 18 to 21.
All other Signature Events remain in their established calendar positions. Eligibility for these tournaments includes the top 50 players from the previous year's FedExCup standings, alongside in-season qualifiers determined through the Aon Next 10 and Aon Swing 5 standings.
Playoff Venues and Future Format Changes
The FedExCup Playoffs launch with the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, from August 12 to 15. The BMW Championship then moves to Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, from August 19 to 22. Liberty National previously hosted the 2017 Presidents Cup and last held a FedExCup Playoff event in 2019.
The 2027 season marks the final year of the tour's current operational framework. Beginning in 2028, the Tour Championship will adopt a season-ending match play format. Former golfer Sir Nick Faldo, speaking on the Sky Sports Golf Podcast, expressed delight at the decision to introduce match play to conclude the season.
PGA Tour officials confirmed that details for the 2027 FedExCup Fall schedule, along with entry criteria for the PGA Tour Championship Series and PGA Tour Challenger Series for the 2028 season, will be released at a later date.
