PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has officially launched its 1.0 update on the Xbox One console, according to GameSpot. Gamers on Xbox One first accessed the title in December 2017 through the Xbox Game Preview program.
The official 1.0 release introduces new weapons, vehicles, and maps to the console version. Players can now use the QBU and QBZ guns during matches.
The update also adds the Rony, a pickup truck that holds four players. The Rony is available exclusively on Sanhok, a new tropical map introduced on the PC version earlier in 2018.
New Maps and Playlists
Sanhok is smaller than the Miramar and Erangel maps already in the game. The smaller map size creates faster and more intense combat.
Developers created two new playlists named Mini Royale and Battle Royale. The Mini Royale playlist features the Sanhok map. The Battle Royale playlist includes Miramar and Erangel. Players can also select both playlists to drop randomly onto any of the three maps.
Future updates will add custom matches and War Mode. Developers expect custom matches in October. War Mode will arrive later in September as a weekend event.
Pricing and Game Editions
The standard Xbox One game costs $30 (£23.40). Xbox shared a message on Twitter on September 4, 2018, promoting the launch of the Sanhok map.
A Sanhok Edition is available for $50 (£39.00). It includes the game, the Sanhok Event Pass with missions and rewards, 2,300 G-Coin, and the Fire in the Hole skin set.
