The popular survival game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is currently offline as a major update comes to the new Xbox One version.

Developer Bluehole announced the delay in a Twitter post, citing an unforeseen issue. "Xbox Players: We apologise for the inconvenience," Bluehole stated. "Due to an unforeseen issue the live server maintenance has been extended for an additional hour."
Xbox One update patch notes
The update introduces a BP exchange system for weapon skins. Players can exchange skins for BP by pressing the Y button while hovering over the item in their inventory. Only one skin can be exchanged at a time, and prices will vary. The preview button has also been mapped to the ≡ button.
To address framerate problems, graphical settings on the Xbox One X have been temporarily reduced. The patch lowers shadow quality, decreases screen space ambient occlusion and reduces eyes adaption quality.
Motion blur, depth of field and lens flare are all disabled. In post processing, the overall number of particles is lowered, while screen space reflection, refraction, particle light and subsurface scattering are disabled. The customization menu inventory in the lobby has also been optimized.
The update adds several new weapon skins to the store. Players can purchase the Glory skins for the AKM and UMP9. The Trifecta skins are available for the Scar-L, Micro UZI and P92.
The patch resolves an issue where players received a "Lost connection to host" error when entering a match after cancelling matchmaking. The update also fixes incorrect text displays for the Russian and Uzbek languages.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds overview
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, commonly known as PUBG, is an online action-shooter published and developed by the PUBG Corporation. The game has sold at least 50 million copies.
Similar to Fortnite, the battle royale game mixes survival elements with shooter gameplay. Gamers fight in 100-player matches as the map's safe areas continually shrink, forcing them to scavenge for equipment and weapons.
The game launched in a Steam early access beta program in March 2017 and is available on Microsoft Windows and iOS. The Xbox One version released earlier in September 2018.
