Russian diver Ruslan Ternovoy was called for doping control after winning the European Aquatics Championships in Paris, state news agency TASS reported.

Ternovoy told reporters that he was summoned for testing following his victory and was on his way to submit a sample. He explained that he had not yet provided the sample and confirmed it was his first doping control at this tournament. He added that testing officials had not taken samples from him in a long time, noting this was his first test in six months.
Gold Medal in Platform Diving
The Russian athlete became the European champion in 10-meter platform diving after scoring a total of 524.20 points across six dives. The 2026 European Aquatics Championships are taking place in Paris from July 31 to August 16.
Russian athletes participating with their national flag and anthem have earned five gold, four silver, and four bronze medals at the competition so far.
