World number one Sinner has become an ambassador for the Milan Olympics. In March, he tested positive for doping

The world’s first racket Jannik the fisherman has become an ambassador and first volunteer for the Milan Winter Olympics, reports Sky Sport Italia.

The Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from 6 to 22 February 2026.

— I grew up in this part of Italy where everyone skis. Skiing and sports have taught me a lot about what kind of person I am. It is a great honor for me to become an ambassador for the 2026 Olympic Games,” Sinner said.

In August, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) reported that Sinner had had two positive doping tests in March. The athlete avoided disqualification because he proved that the banned substance, clostebol, had entered his system accidentally. A number of players have publicly criticized the ITIA for its inconsistency in handling similar cases. On September 10, Corriere della Sera, citing the Court of Arbitration for Sport, reported that the World Anti-Doping Agency had not challenged the ITIA’s decision.
