Miltos Tentoglou qualified for Tuesday's long jump final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham after recording 8.26m on his second attempt.
The Greek Olympic and European champion looked in good form and confirmed it with his jump, but he also kept an eye on his rivals in the qualifying round.
Interview interrupted
While Tentoglou was giving a statement to Greek broadcaster ERT, 21-year-old Italian jumper Francesco Insolli produced a leap of 8.34m. The jump impressed Tentoglou so much that he stopped his interview to watch how far it would be measured.
Serbia's Boskovic also had a strong showing in qualifying, with his jump measured at 8.33m.
The long jump final at the European Championships in Birmingham is scheduled for August 11 at 22:16.
