Colo-Colo goalkeeper Vozinha was presented at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, previewing a celebration the club has planned for his official presentation at Estadio Monumental on Wednesday, August 5.
Colo-Colo expects around 42,000 fans to attend the stadium to welcome him.
Asked about the fan turnout, Vozinha said he never imagined experiencing a moment like this and that he was anxious for the presentation. He said he was very anxious and hoped Wednesday would be a great day for him, for the club and for the fans.
World Cup breakthrough
Vozinha rose to prominence at the World Cup following Cape Verde's historic run in the tournament. Cape Verde was eliminated in the round of 16, losing to eventual runner-up Argentina.
