russian freestyler Pavel Crotov died on Saturday at the age of 30, reports the press service of the Russian Freestyle Federation (FFR).
The athlete’s cause of death is not specified.
– Many people remember Pavel as a kind, sympathetic and courageous person. The FFR team presents its deep and sincere condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues of Pavel Krotov, the federation said in a press release.
Krotov at the 2021 World Championships won gold in the team tournament in acrobatics and bronze in individual competitions. He also won the World Cup, participated in the Olympics in Sochi and Pyeongchang.
