It was planned that the issue of admission of Russian athletes in figure skating, speed skating and short track speed skating would be discussed there. However, this was not even considered. This was announced by the president of the Russian Skating Union Nikolai Gulyaev.
– This weekend the ISU Council was held, we were impatiently and warily awaiting the discussion on the issue of admitting Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions. Unfortunately, this issue was not even discussed, although it was on the agenda,” Gulyaev was quoted as saying by Match TV.
