Athletistic/Basketball. The US Embassy in Moscow has recommended that American athletes immediately leave Russia due to the fact that a partial mobilization has been announced in the country.
Several dozen American athletes perform in Russian basketball clubs.
“U.S. citizens should not visit Russia, and those residing in or traveling to Russia should leave the country immediately while opportunities for business travel remain limited,” the U.S. Embassy said in a statement.
Previously, well-known Russian athletes were summoned to the military registration and enlistment office. In particular, footballer Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, as well as figure skaters Dmitry Aliyev and Makar Ignatov.
