Since 2022, the duo has performed in exhibition shows, but no longer competes
Olympic ice dancing champions from France Gabriella Papadakis And Guillaume Cizeron announced the end of their figure skating career.
The couple won gold at the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing. Their success was France’s first Olympic figure skating title since 2002. Gabriella and Guillaume also previously won silver at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.
Papadakis and Cizeron are five-time world champions and five-time European champions. They also have one silver medal each at the world and European championships. The French won their last gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in Montpellier. They also have two victories in the Grand Prix finals in figure skating and seven French champion titles.
The couple decided to take a break from competition for one year in 2022. Papadakis and Cizeron have since performed at exhibition shows, but have not returned to competitive events.
