The Football Association did not take disciplinary action against Marc Guei.
The Football Association of England will not punish Crystal Palace defender Marc Guei for the religious inscription on the captain’s armband, which he wore in the English Premier League match with Newcastle (1:1).
Last weekend, the captains of Premier League teams played matches in the 13th round of the championship wearing rainbow armbands as part of a campaign in support of the LGBT community.

Gay, who scored an own goal in that match, also played the match with the same character as the captain, but with the inscription: “I love Jesus,” for which he was threatened with punishment, because it was forbidden by FA rules placing religious messages in any form on equipment.

However, according to Sky Sports, the Football Association has decided not to take disciplinary action against the player. The organization has issued a warning to the player and will contact him to issue an official reminder to abide by the rules.
It was previously reported that Mohamed Salah has repeated the Manchester United legend’s record.
