The former Argentina national team player retired from football and joined a basketball club

Argentinian striker Rodrigo Palacio ended his football career.

Palacio, 40, left Brescia as a free agent. At the same time, he decides not to tie himself to sport and will play for the basketball club of Garignano, which plays in the fourth league of Italy.

According to the latest post from the Milanese basketball club’s official account, Palacio is already the team’s ‘protagonist’ and scored 14 points in the pre-season game.

Palacio is known in Italy for having played for Genoa and Inter, and since 2017 he has been defending the colors of Bologna. He has 27 caps for Argentina.
