– Due to the presence of unfulfilled financial obligations to players included in the passports of the Ufimets (Ufa) team of previous seasons, as well as non-payment of application fees for participation in the Russian championship among men’s Superleague teams and the Russian Cup, according to the regulations, the Ufimets team was not allowed to participate in RBF competitions in the coming season.
Ufimets team matches are removed from the official Superleague schedule. In the men’s Russian Cup, the team “Barnaul” (Altai Territory) will go to the 1/8 finals, the RFB said in a statement.
Last season, Ufimets were 14th out of 15 teams in the Superleague, Russia’s second-highest basketball division.
