President of CSKA Andrey Vatutin told the results he expects from an appeal against a court decision in Luxembourg.

CSKA beat at home saturday “Minsk” with a score of 107:63 in the VTB United League regular season game. A day earlier, Vatutin said the club filed an appeal after the Luxembourg court refused to take legal action against Euroleague basketball due to a suspension from the tournament.

– How satisfied were you with CSKA’s performance in the game against Minsk?

This factor should be taken into account by coaches. Lokomotiv always play very well at home. And the arrival of CSKA is an additional motivation. So something that happened yesterday doesn’t matter. “The necessary legal proceedings are underway. Nobody hopes that we will be sent back to the competition. First, when filing lawsuits, we talk about lost financial gain. When will these decisions be made? It can take six months, a year, two.

In March 2022 Euroleague announced that CSKA, Zenit Saint Petersburg and UNICS Kazan were excluded from the tournament due to the situation in Ukraine, their results were cancelled. CSKA has a long-term A license, the club is a member of the Euroleague board.
