Shipbuilders will miss the upcoming season
MBK Nikolaev officially announced the skipping of the upcoming 2022/23 Super League season.
At the same time, the management of the Nikolaev club turned to the FBU with a request to retain the status of the Superleague team. The shipbuilders intend to play in the Ukrainian basketball championship of the 2023/24 season.
The participants of the Superleague 2022-2023 are Budivelnyk, Kyiv-Basket, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Cherkasy Mavpy, BIPA-Odessa region, Old Lutsk-Universitet and Prykarpattya-Hoverla.
In addition to MBK Nikolaev, Khimik, BC Odessa, Kharkov Sokol, BC Ternopil and Prometheus will miss the upcoming basketball championship of Ukraine for various reasons.
The start of the Superleague is scheduled for October 22. The teams will play four rounds of the regular season without a playoff round. Competitions will be held in the “bubble” format and without the presence of spectators in the stands of sports halls.
