The first matches of the championship of Ukraine will be played on October 22 in Kyiv
Forward Budivelnik Vladimir Konev commented on his return to the site and the resumption of the championship of Ukraine.
“Now playing basketball is very unusual. Personally, I am in a certain prostration, because I understand that there is a war going on and people are dying every day.”
“For me, and I think for other guys, it’s not easy to get in shape. Most of us had a very long pause. Personally, I haven’t played 5v5 on the floor since February 23rd, apart from the charity match in Poland. And the hardest thing is mentally. Again, I still can’t believe we’re finally playing basketball.”
“We just got together, had very little training. And together, with the whole team, they didn’t hold a single one at all. There were sick in the team and those who missed training for various reasons. So we need some time to get in shape and play together. Then everything will be ok.”
Recall that basketball competitions in the 2022/23 season will be held in the bubble format and without spectators. The season will be held without playoffs, the champion of Ukraine will be determined solely on the basis of the results of the regular season.
The calendar of the starting rounds of the men’s basketball Superleague for the 2022/23 season has also become known. The first matches of the team will play in “bubbles” in Kyiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. The starting day of the competition is October 22.
