St. Petersburg basketball playersZenith » Andrei Zubkov and Artem Klimenko out of action indefinitely due to injuries, according to the club’s official website.
The players were injured in the VTB United League regular season away game against Enisey Krasnoyarsk (89:61) on October 18.
– Following a medical examination, the team captain (Zubkov) revealed ligament damage in the ankle joint, and our center (Klimenko) suffered ligament damage in the foot. Both players are out indefinitely.
It should be noted that the next VTB League game – away against Samara on October 24 – will also be missed by Sergey Toropov, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
Zenit are third in the standings with three wins in four matches.
