Mavp Skira’s accurate last shot followed moments after the end of playing time.
BC Zaporozhye snatched victory from Cherkasy Mavp in the first match Superleague – 62:61.
The whole fight on the site was an equal fight. Zaporizhzhya went with a slight margin after the first quarter, the players of the Cherkasy club managed to take the lead in the second.
Zaporozhye managed to achieve a slight advantage in the second half, less than 2 minutes before the end, Kirill Viktorov’s wards were leading by +7 points. However, the Mavps managed to cut the score to a minimum.
The end of the match was dramatic. In the last attack, Sergei Skira scored a two-pointer and put Mavp ahead. However, after the video replay, the judges canceled the last capture – the center shot was an instant after the end of playing time.
The most productive in the match was Sergei Skira with 24 points, to which he added 12 rebounds. Zaporozhye has a double-double with 20 points and 21 rebounds on account of Anton Buts.
Recall that in the opening match of the new season Kyiv-Basket defeated Stary Lutsk. BC Zaporizhia will play on October 23 with the people of Kiev, while Cherkasy Mavpy will meet with the Lutsk team.
