Prometheus suffered a second defeat in four rounds of the Eurocup
Head coach of BC Prometheus Ronen Ginzburg commented on the defeat of the team in the match Eurocup with spanish Hoventut.
“Firstly, I congratulate Hoventut on his victory. They were a little better than us today. We played well in the first half. During 5-6 minutes of the third quarter we made all possible mistakes in defense and attack. But I’m happy that we’re back in the game. They showed character. It is important. We used more substitutes, they came out and showed that they don’t give up. We are back to the game. Unfortunately, little things at the end of the match tipped the scales in favor of the opponent.”
“Did I think we could win this match? Yes. Because I saw that the opponents lost confidence. We felt we could do it. They were only two points behind. Unfortunately, we didn’t convert many open shots today. From afar, 10 out of 41 hit. However, we believed in victory to the end. After five minutes of the first quarter, it looked like everything was going to our significant defeat, but we were back in the game.
“This is not the first time Sanon has been injured in a game like this – same injury, same leg. I hope everything goes well with him.”
Prometheus lost to Joventut in the fourth round of the Eurocup – 77:82. Prometheus suffered a second defeat in four rounds and dropped to eighth place in Group A. On November 22, the Ukrainian club will play with Cedevita Olympia.
