The center of the Ukrainian national basketball team spoke about the situation in the team before the important qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup.
The Ukrainian national basketball team will fight to the end and use every opportunity to get to the World Championship. Center Vyacheslav Kravtsov said about this in an interview with the FBU press service. According to the veteran, the team was not in a capricious mood before the game with the outsider of the group – the Netherlands.
“In terms of the composition, I don’t see that it is obvious that we have sunk. Therefore, we must play good basketball as usual. We have not lost, because we have no pressure on the result. We do not underestimate or overestimate the National team of Netherlands. We will show good basketball. is considered an outsider, but we do not have a changeable mood – there is a plan, developments that we will implement.
Of course, we have a small chance to get to the World Cup, not everything depends on us, but as long as we have at least 1%, we will try to use it at any cost. No one will give up. My opinion is that we should be in the World Cup. Let’s try to make the most of this situation.
In any case, during this window we must take revenge on Iceland. If we talk about the chances of getting into the World Cup, then the game in Iceland will be decisive. Therefore, we will go to the game with the Netherlands more calmly, and in the next game we will tear our ass to the maximum,” said Kravtsov.
It will be remembered that today, November 11, the Ukrainian national basketball team will hold another qualifying match for the World Championship. Ainars Bagatskis team will play against Netherlands. The match will start at 20:00 Kyiv time.
Remember that the Ukrainian national team will not be able to play its strongest squad in the decisive qualifying matches for the 2023 World Cup.
