Brooklyn Irving basketball player apologizes for anti-Semitic message

NBA club guard brooklyn nets Kyrie Irving apologized for posting an anti-Semitic message on a social network.

In November, Irving posted a link on social media to the anti-Semitic film From Jews to Blacks: Wake Up Black America. After that, the 30-year-old refused to apologize for the act at a press conference. Irving hasn’t played in the final eight games of the NBA regular season.

“There is no hatred in my heart for Jewish people or anyone who identifies as Jewish.

It’s hard to digest all that, to understand the power of my voice, the influence I have. I am not someone’s idol, but I am a person who wants to influence the situation and change it.

I really want to focus on the pain I caused. I would like to offer my most sincere apologies for all my actions committed during all the time that has elapsed since the publication of this message. I had plenty of time to think,” Irving said, as quoted by Reuters in reference to SNY.

Irving is an NBA, Olympic and world champion.
